MAINTENANCE AND SUPERVISION OF LIFTING AND SLINGING

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The course is designed for personnel who are required to use/maintain lifting tackle equipment. There are 4 separate elements:

1. Tradesmen - User/Maintenance.
2. Supervisors - User/Maintenance.
3. Tradesmen - User/Maintenance including Mini Hoist.
4. Supervisors - User/Maintenance including Mini Hoist.

DURATION:

Depends on training requirements but the following usually applies:

1. 3 days.
2. 3 days.
3. 4.5 days.
4. 5 days.

NOMINATION PROCEDURE

All RAF nominations through PMA 6B(1). Non-RAF through Business Development Officer

ELIGIBILITY

Tradesmen employed to work on the maintenance or supervision of Lifting Tackle.

AIM

To train personnel in the use/maintenance and supervision of lifting tackle operations.
