SURFACE GRINDING

Course No 2236

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

Provides training for selected airmen in the trade of General Technician Workshops (Gen Tech WS) or civilian equivalents to a standard where they can work competently and safely on Surface grinding machines. The Trade Qualification Annotation (TQA) Q-GE-GS will be awarded to personnel who successfully complete this training.

DURATION:

2 weeks 3 days.

NOMINATION PROCEDURE

All RAF nominations through PMA 6B(1). Non-RAF through Business Development Officer

ELIGIBILITY

General Technician Workshops or civilian tradesmen selected by PMA prior to employment on Surface Grinding machines. Nominees should have had at least 6 months workshop experience.

AIM

To train personnel to competently and safely set up and operate a Surface Grinding machine to perform tasks to both general and aircraft engineering standards.
