ADVANCED SHEETMETAL WORK

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

Provides airmen in the trade of General Technician Workshops (Gen Tech WS) or civilian equivalents with the knowledge, skills, procedures and practices of Advanced Sheetmetal work to a standard where they can work competently and safely in producing Sheetmetal Aircraft components.

DURATION:

10 weeks 2 days.

NOMINATION PROCEDURE

All RAF nominations through PMA 6B(1). Non-RAF through Business Development Officer

ELIGIBILITY

Gen Tech WS tradesmen or civilian equivalents selected by PMA prior to employment in manufacture of aircraft sheetmetal components.

AIM

To train personnel to competently and safely produce sheetmetal aircraft components, including those that require the application of advanced techniques.
