Mission Statement
To deliver efficient and effective training in Engineering Principles to trainees of
Trade Groups 5, 6 and 13 (Pnt & Fnr) in support of
trade specific training.
Aims

- To effectively and consistently deliver a high
standard of instruction in Engineering Principles
to all courses that require it.
- To effectively administer a reliable and
consistent assessment procedure
in support of Engineering Principles instruction.
- To co-ordinate instruction in Engineering
Principles with the Trade Training Flights to
ensure that every trainee receives a coherent
training package.
- To co-ordinate instruction in Engineering
Principles with the Course Design Cell and the
Accreditation Cell to ensure that the content of
training is at all times relevant and necessary.
- To encourage personal development and cross
training at all levels.
- To continually strive to improve the efficiency
of training.
- To maintain high standards of discipline and
morale.

- Electrical Principles
- Electronic Principles
- Engines & Fuels
- Heat
- Information Technology
- Mathematics
- Mechanics
- Motor & Generator Principles
- Technical Drawing
To meet the requirements of the Modern Apprenticeship
scheme,
trainees must achieve the following standards:
- BTEC NC or City & Guilds Vocational
Qualification
- Key Skills Level 2
- NVQ Level 3
