GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (GEMS)
1. Aim of the Course. The aim of the course is to introduce the GEMS hardware and software package.
2. Summary of Training Requirements. The training requirements are summarised as follows:
a. On completion of training the student will be familiar with the operation of GEMS, but will require a period of practical experience to reinforce the training and attain the performance required of an effective operator. On successful completion of this training course students will be awarded the TQA Q-GE-GEMS.
b. There is no formal course assessment.
c. Instructors will endeavour to improve their current practices and instil the following attitudinal goal in the student: Seek to instil the highest standards of professionalism in his work.
3. Eligibility. Those eligible to attend are selected from the following trades of Gen Tech E, Gen Tech GSE, Eng Tech W. Additionally, Army and Royal Navy equivalents or civilians can be nominated to attend.
4. Duration of the Course. The duration of the course is 2 days.
