UPSTAGE
This drama course is aimed at 10 to 13 year old children who may have had some experience in developing confidence with themselves as performers. Children will learn to:
• express themselves effectively
• speak clearly
• feel confident to question, explain, describe & analyse
• practice basic stage craft
• interact with fellow actors and an audience
• perform sequences of movements
• perform small dance routines
• sing as part of a chorus or individually
• portray a character - authentic/comic/tragic/caricatureand develop skills in:
• mime; masks; puppets; staged fighting; slapstick comedy; improvisation (story making); vocal improvisation and scenario building
