A Few Notes About The Ordering Process
At Aire Valley Glass we strive to offer you the best products available at reasonable prices. We also aim to make our ordering and installation processs as smooth and trouble-free as possible.
If you have already made an enquiry about our products or have recently placed an order, here are some useful notes regarding the stages that will occur until your windows and doors are fitted.
If You Want To Place An Order With Us:
Should you decide to go ahead with a quotation given by our sales team, they will contact you to arrange a convenient time to finalise the order and complete our purchase agreement.
The Purchase Agreement
The purchase agreement states the products you have ordered, a sketch of the style, along with details such as handle colour, patterned glass design, door panel designs or specialist glass features such as bevels or georgian bars. The agreed price and payment details are also clearly outlined.
The back of this purchase agreement contains the terms and conditions of sale and also warranty details. These are written in plain english, with no confusing technical jargon, making it easy for all of us to understand.
Please check the purchase agreement carefully and make sure that everything you have requested is stated on here, as this document is used by our office to complete your order. It does not matter how small the request, if it is not on the purchase agreement then the office will not know about it!
Final Measurements
Once your order has been placed, we will arrange for our surveyor to visit and take the final measurements of your windows, doors etc. This is necessary as the sales team only take approximate measurements which are acceptable for pricing purposes. The surveyor takes accurate measurements to allow us to make your products. You will usually need to be on site to allow access both inside and outside of your property. He will also check through the order with you, to ensure that everything you require has been included and clearly documented. If anything is incorrect at this stage there is still time to amend your order, so please discuss any queries you may have, no matter how trivial they may seem!
Fabrication and Fitting
Once the final measurements have been taken, we can then proceed with fabricating your order. The time taken for this varies, depending on the products you have specified and the size of your order. We will contact you in order to arrange a convenient fitting date
Preparation
In preparation of the fitting of your products please arrange the removal of curtains, furniture, ornaments etc from the vicinity of the installation. We also ask that you cover items such as beds and large pieces of furniture - we provide dust sheets to cover floor areas. If you have any problems with the above please let us know and we will do our best to assist you.
Payment
Payment is due upon completion of work - please arrange to have this ready to give to our fitters whilst they are on site, as they will bring with them all the relevant paperwork.
Unfortunately we do not accept debit or credit cards - payment needs to be made by cheque, cash or bankers draft.
Fensa Certification
If your installation requires Fensa registration, we will do this once all work is complete and payment has been made. A certificate will then be sent to you directly from Fensa. It is very important that you keep this document safe as it will be required by your solicitor should you ever sell your property.
Your Guarantee
It is important that you keep the purchase agreement safe, together with your invoice as these documents act as your guarantee. Details of warranty periods are clearly stated on the back of your purchase agreement. Should you require any remedial work under warranty you will also need to quote the invoice number and Logs number on these documents.
Finally...
We hope by outlining the above process you have a smooth and trouble-free installation and are delighted with your new products.
