Staff

The home is under the full-time personal supervision of Tricia O’Leary, Registered Manager (Head of Home). She has been in the post since 1993. She is a Registered General Nurse with considerable experience of caring for older people, particularly those with dementia. She and the Deputy Head Moira Deane are assisted by a highly competent and experienced team of qualified nurses and care assistants, all of whom hold the Alzheimers Society " Care to Make a Difference" certificate. Many care assistants hold Level II NVQ in Care. The Home also employs domestic staff, administrative staff and family support staff.

Vale House has an ongoing commitment to training with a well structured development programme for all staff who are encouraged to attend appropriate study days, courses and conferences

We are pleased to have strong links with outside bodies such as Oxford Brookes University and the Alzheimers Society.

"Every member of staff whom we encountered showed tremendous sensitivity and warmth"
