Project; Armley Parish Church
Armley Parish Church is a substantially sized place of worship situated on a hill top above Armley, and holds a domineering position over the city of Leeds.
The renovation of the roof coverings was a huge task requiring careful planning with the scaffolding and leadwork contractors.
The exposure and severity of the roof pitch made this project particularly difficult, especially as it was carried out over the winter months. The original roof coverings, random Burlington slates, had stood up well to the test of time and were re-used as much as possible to minimise the material costs.
