About the Nurseries

Bushbabies Day Nursery opened in July 1991 and was initially registered for 24 children. Since then it has expanded considerably and is now registered for 50 children.

The Nursery is owned by Mr Don Loveridge and Mrs Wendy Loveridge; they manage the business and also ensure that the physical environment provided for the children is kept safe and clean. The daily running of the Nursery is the responsibility of the Manager, Mary Turner.

The Nursery is all on ground floor level and includes the main building, a special art / craft room, 3 other activity rooms and a separate (self contained) Baby Unit. There is also a large purpose built Garden Room and a safe, enclosed, garden.

Bushbabies (Two) Day Nursery opened in March 1996 and is registered for 66 children under 5 years and 24 children between the ages of 5 and 8 years.

The Nursery is jointly owned by Mrs Mary Turner and Mrs Wendy Loveridge both of whom have different skills to offer. The business side is managed by Wendy Loveridge; the daily running of the nursery is the responsibility of Mary Turner.

The building comprises 3 floors; the ground floor and basement being used mainly by the Nursery children and the first floor for the pre-school group and holiday children.

On the ground floor there are 3 activity rooms and a separate (self contained) Baby Unit; in the basement is a special Creativity room plus dining room / activity room; on the first floor is a room for quiet activities and a very large room for noisier activities / games. There is also a safe, enclosed garden.

We aim, at all times to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for the children you leave in our care, by ensuring the premises and equipment is always kept in a state of good repair and that the staff are fulfilling their role efficiently and conscientiously.

Both Nurseries are registered with Social Services and are inspected on a regular basis to ensure regulations are adhered to and our high standards maintained.

Both Nurseries are approved by the DFEE to take part in the Nursery Education Grant Scheme and have been inspected by Ofsted.

The Spa Award for food hygiene and safety is held by both nurseries. This is a spot check that is performed on all catering establishments and is awarded to those that meet the highest of standards
