14th October to 16 December
Wednesdays 6:30pm to 9pm
About The Course
The course is designed with specific elements that are covered each week. It is intended to offer practitioners a holistic introduction to life drawing. Artists looking to refresh their powers of observation and practical skills are welcome. Sessions may be attended on a one off basis if that suits you better but the full course is a good option for a concise grounding.
Students will be encouraged to develop at their own pace while working with the model. They will be introduced to the fundamentals of form and structure of the human figure. The variety of ways in which this understanding can be interpreted and expressed will be explored through objective and analytical drawings to the more personal and intuitive approach.
Students will develop and demonstrate self-assurance through practice and the critique of their own artwork and that of their peers.
The following subjects will be dealt with over the duration of the course:
- Proportion
- Composition
- Perspective
- Form in space
- Line and tone
- The means of expression
- Light
- Techniques in mark making
ArtWorksProject On Line
There will be opportunities to submit works to an on-line exhibition on BAGT’s site: www.artworksproject.com
