Noah liked his animals arranged in pairs.
The elephant stood, facing the door.
The cat stared nonchalantly at the floor.
“The mouse ran there, I’ve just seen it go”.
“Ok I’ll get it, don’t take on so”.
“Well I’m staying here until you do.
So get a move on go on shoo”.
The cat yawned and arched its back.
“Just let me limber up for the attack”.
“I don’t like mice”, the elephant sighs,
“Their skinny whip tails nor their beady little eyes”.
“I love mice”, the cat said with glee.
“They make a tasty desert after my tea”.
“Shush Noah will hear you, you silly cat.
You’ll be over the side and that will be that.
You’re not to hurt it, whatever you do.
Just get it back to its place in the queue”.
“Oh alright then, if that’s what you please
I’ll just sit here, till it comes back with the
cheese”.
A cat and an elephant sat on a stair.
Don’t they make an odd looking pair.
