2010 saw a bumper crop of entries to the Fylde Brighter Writers Circle Prize Competition. For the first time we asked for poetry submissions as well as short stories and once again we were astonished to receive entries from all over the globe. This collection showcases both the winning entries and our own tales and poems.
Anne Wilson and Cheryl O'Brien provided us with the winners from the Short Story and Poetry Competitions respectively but we are lucky enough to be able to include excellent stories from Douglas Bruton, Bruce Harris, Paul Curd, Richard Lakin and Tony Bell along with evocative poems from Stephen Beattie, Simone Mansell Broome and Edyth Ward.
