Bromley House hosts regular events throughout the year, including lectures, concerts, study days, exhibitions, and various social occasions.

| Saturday 24th March at 10.20 pm | Bromley House lecture programme Susan Bassnett Time and Belonging: Travel writing and beyond Susan Bassnett is the Literary Executor of writer Geoffrey Moorhouse. Well known for his travel writing, Geoffrey, who was the Manchester Guardian's principal features writer, also wrote many authoritative books on cricket, rugby league, monasticism, deep sea fishing and Tudor history. This lecture is presented in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University's Centre for Travel Writing Studies and will be introduced by Professor Tim Youngs of the School of Arts and Humanities, Nottingham Trent University. |

| Saturday 12th May 2pm - 5pm | Open Garden Event We are opening our garden for the afternoon to raise funds for Maggie's cancer care charity and conservation work at Bromley House. Come and visit this quiet haven in the busy city centre, when the garden will be looking its best. Cakes and cordial on sale and there will be a chance to find out more about the garden and library. Please note the library building will not be open on this occasion. |
