The Committee is very active in promoting Athletic activities and development in the region. Typically, this has involved Chelmsford A.C. sponsoring 2 Sportshall events,  a spring track and field open, assisted in organising schools cross country competitions at Hylands Park, hosting Senior road relays at Melbourne Park and arranging track open competitions. As a club we pride ourselves on working in partnership with Chelmsford Borough Council and Essex AAA to promote athletics.  Extra help is always welcome in committee or general coaching or an administration capacity.

We are also working to develop close links with the local schools. In doing this we have set-up a Child Protection Policy within the Club. With 2 child protection officers we take this policy very seriously.

We have a documented Constitution

Our Coaches have been actively involved in the transfer scheme into UK Athletics.

The Club endorses the UK Athletics stance on Drug abuse. A clarification of substances can be found on our Drugs information page.
