Race report - Wednesday 6th June 2007

Another miserable night, tropical sunshine and very little wind.  However a good turn out and the light conditions meant that we could put Lorenzo in a Laser Radial without the risk of him blowing away.

The downside was that he blew everyone else away instead, winning all three races on the water as well as on handicap.  It was great to watch - particularly in the first race when he stitched Ali up like a kipper catching him out on port tack and making him miss the finishing line altogether...  It made my evening if not Lorenzo's.

Other than that it was dull, dull dull - particularly if you weigh more than 50kg - more wind next week please... Results here.

Sunday is our Match racing event and we are hoping for 6 or 8 crews to man 4 of the F15s (50% of which will be from Tayvallich).   Please let me know if you are able to sail if I haven't spoken to you already (especially if your name is Clive).  Supporters are also very welcome, and I dare say we will adjourn to the pub afterwards.

With between 13 and 16 races to complete I only hope we get some wind.....
