Race report - Wednesday 27th June 2007

Wednesday saw a bit more wind than has been customary for the last few weeks, but it was coming approximately from the west so it was pretty nasty.   We stayed in the Lagoon, though it might have been an idea to go out into the main loch, what with Isla being on a school trip to Iceland - yes really..  best trip I ever got was the Lake District with a psychopathic chemistry teacher, but that is another story.

As far as the sailing was concerned, the wind was such that the 15's appeared to be faster than the lasers for once, though Clive was sportingly sailing with a reef in his sail which effectively knackered his chances.  Lorenzo was out in a Laser Radial, and despite hopes that he would be fearsomely over-powered in the conditions, it was unfortunately not the case.   He was however, beaten by Alex in the first two races who was sailing extremely well. Unfortunately it all to fell apart when it mattered and in the main race, Lorenzo maintained his 100% record in a radial to win (on handicap) from Ali and Sally.

For the record I had a very consistent evening, sailing like a tosser throughout.
