Wednesday Night Race Report

Apologies for no results or report last week, but holidays intervened and I forgot to do them.

Anyway for the record we had our second race evening in the main loch, which for the first race was a bit of a disaster, as we picked the wrong side of the loch to race in and suffered from impossibly flukey winds.  I disqualified myself for not bothering to sail round at least half the marks, though nobody else seemed to notice.  Unfortunately Alex banged his head and fell in a couple of times and was unable to compete in the series race, which was a much better affair.  However I arrived late at the start having gone looking for a Basking Shark that David Graham claimed to have spotted.  Can't believe I fell for it to be honest...

Predictably Guy and Laura won with David second on handicap.

Unfortunately I missed this week's racing, but winds were extremely light and although shortened the series race proved to be the longest on record taking over an hour to complete.  Alex won on handicap making up for some bad luck in recent weeks.  He now moves to the top of the leaderboard for the first time.

Next Sunday 22 July is our return match with Tayvallich and it would be good to get a respectable turnout.  I will forward more details when I have them in the meantime please keep the day free if you can.
