Wednesday Night Series (21/05/08)

A reasonable wind, but a fairly light turnout partly due to the Champions League final and the Kaiser Chiefs, but never mind.  Anyway we had Clive and Ian McNiven in the newly launched Ffaulcuian, Tony Tucker and Andy Weston in Fish Finger, and Guy and pupil in the Wayfarer, so at least we had enough for a race.

Clive obviously has a bit of tuning to do because Tony managed to win the first 3 races relatively easily.  For the final race (which is always the one that counts for the series) Clive handed the tiller to Ian - sportingly Tony held on to his and ran away with another victory.  However we had a really close race between Guy and Ian for second place, with Ian just finishing a couple of seconds in front.

I hope we can get a few more folk out on a Wednesday, the forecast for this week is for a decent wind - so no excuses. (unless it is raining or there is football on or something) ... [May Wednesday Night Series results here]
