About Craignish

Craignish is situated mid-way between Oban and Lochgilphead, in the Mid –Argyll area of Argyll and Bute. The community encompasses the villages of Ardfern and Craobh Haven, as well as the rural areas of Barbreck, Lunga and Craignish. It has a population of approximately 500 people in over 200 households.

The community is served by a primary school in Ardfern, which also has a village shop and post office, a hotel with a pub, gift shop and coffee-shop/bistro, and a busy marina. Likewise in Craobh, there is a village shop, a pub and a large marina.

Morning Service is held every Sunday at 10.15am in Craignish Church in Ardfern.

There is a regular bus service to Oban and Lochgilphead.
