Practice News 2008

Anna-Marie gave birth to Polly on the 25th July. Mum and baby are doing well. Congratulations! (4-8-08)

Anna-Marie started her maternity leave on the 4th of July. Good luck AMK... get some sleep while you can! (18-7-08)

The year started with very bad news, Luisa discovered due to serious ill health that she would need to stay in Portugal while undergoing treatment. We are hoping she will be returning to us sometime in the Summer.

On a brighter note Anna-Marie is pregnant and will be leaving us for maternity leave in July. To replace Luisa and Anna-Marie we have appointed Marie Sorowka B.V.M.S. M.R.C.V.S. Marie is Scottish and graduated from Glasgow in 2006.

The internal renovations and improvements to the surgery are virtually complete, for this year at least. Now we have an extra consulting room we should be able to run more nursing clinics. (5-5-08)

We have recently had two suspected parvovirus cases in the surgery from the Clay Cross area and one suspected leptospirosis - please ensure your dog is vaccinated and has had a booster within the past 12 months. (updated on 16-5-07)

We have seen three rabbits with myxomatosis virus so far this year - please get your rabbits vaccinated now - and several rabbits with fly strike - check your rabbit twice daily for maggots and start treating now with 'Rearguard' if your rabbit is at risk. (updated on 28-5-07)

Anna-Marie got married on May 19th and is now Mrs. Anna-Marie Knight - Congratulations!

We have appointed a new vet, Luisa Rufino. She is from Portugal and has been working in the UK for some months and started work with us this week. (15-5-07)

We are in the process of upgrading our surgical and imaging facilities so there is some building work ongoing at the surgery. We apologise for any noise and dust that may be generated. (15-5-07)

Sadly, Irene Hardy has now retired. We all wish her every happiness in the future. (15-5-07)
