Andy's new bike that he bought
at the end of 2002 after taking several rides on a 'hard
tail'. Personally I believe he needs to get out more on
this bike and make more use of it - or let me have it!
;o)
Picture taken in July 2002 of
my bike after taking a slight tumble. It certainly makes
you more concious of what you are doing when you have
such a big fall as I had that time. It's taken me about a
year to go over the same peice of ground over Cannock
Chase at a similar speed. To think even this time I
wasn't even wearing a helmet over there!! Needless to
say, we always wear a helmet on each visit now.
Another shot of the front wheel
from a different angle. Kind of scary really!! Ended up
with a few nice bruises - lucky eascape really, just
before my trip to Egypt, so I was lucky not to break
anything!!
The full route map of London to
Brighton which I undertook for the first time in 2003. 60
miles, loads of cyclists and the massive Ditchling Beacon
at the very end of the ride (almost) - what a killer!
Fantastic ride, loads of sweeping lanes to ride along.
Two other pictures are from rides done by
my dad, Rob Stockton and my brother Andy. Note the svelte
body shapes of this handsome trio... I'm not sure if
they're still like this today though! ;o)
Third picture just gives you an
example of the finish line throughout the day - packed
full of people coming through!
Bryn showing us how its all
done on an extreme mountain bike, over at Cannock Chase.
