Treatment with the HealOzone unit for caries uses revolutionary, new technology that is changing the face of Dentistry.

Ozone is a gas – a form of oxygen found in fresh air by the sea and in the atmosphere after thunderstorms. Its atmospheric protection against harmful sunlight is of paramount importance to our existence.

REVOLUTIONARY in that Dentists have for years delayed treating cavities, waiting for them to attain a certain size before treating. Dentists NOT using this system STILL DO WAIT, then when they eventually treat, they FREEZE, DRILL & FILL, a procedure now deemed as antiquated as amputation of limbs.

We use a small laser - THE DIAGNODENT - to detect infinitely small cavities. This causes the tooth to fluoresce and detects cavities, which are far too small to be seen by the eye, or even by x-ray.

When an early lesion is detected, it is treated simply by an application of ozone gas (20,30 or 40 seconds) followed up with home use of a re-mineralizing toothpaste. Totally painless!

How does ozone work?

Ozone identifies and breaks up the cell walls of bacteria, viruses and fungi, destroying them.

This sterilizes the small cavity and can then fill-in by itself - re-mineralization - or self-healing.
