Dominic de
Lord, FCCA, qualified in 1992 and gained extensive experience
whilst working for a top twenty firm of Chartered Accountants.
He acts as a
business consultant for a range of small to medium size enterprises,
many of
them family or employee owned companies, helping clients to start
and grow
their businesses and to plan for an eventual sale or retirement.
Dominic has
established a network of contacts with other professionals in
order to facilitate
the specific needs of clients involved in business start ups,
acquisition and
disposals of businesses, and also to provide rescue and recovery
plans for
those companies that run into problems. He has previously lectured
at
College to students attending book-keeping and accountancy courses.
Chris Derby is our tax partner
and was previously senior tax manager with a
leading firm of Chartered Accountants, having worked in the City
from 1972
until joining Crick Heitman in January 2000. Chris specialises
in all aspects
of tax planning for family owned businesses, property taxes, Inheritance
tax,
Trusts, Will and Probate planning, planning for overseas individuals
and
companies investing in the UK and for British residents moving
abroad. Chris
has contributed to the development of a leading UK Corporation
Tax software
system and to a number of publications including The Daily Telegraph
Guide
to Living Abroad, The UK as a Tax Haven, and guides to Living
in France,
Spain and Portugal.
Martin Hamill began his working
life as a trainee accountant in 1978 and
now celebrates over 10 years with Crick Heitman. Martin was responsible
for
the creation of “Clarendon Accounting Solutions Limited”,
our Sage
accounting software division which opened in 1996. We have since
become
a leading national reseller and are recognised as the local Sage
specialists.
Martin has acquired fully accredited status for Clarendon, the
first Sage
reseller in the area to achieve the standard of competence required
by Sage.
As accounting software experts we are able to help clients gain
the most from
their own accounting systems and we then utilise these systems
very
effectively in the production of annual Accounts and Financial
Statements.
David Cooper is the managing director
of Crick Heitman Commercial Finance
Limited. David trained originally in educational psychology and
then applied
this to develop a strong background in commerce and finance. Over
a 15 year
period he built an office equipment company and a financial services
practice.
During the last nine years David has been involved in building
cashless barter
trading systems for small to medium size companies. The most recent
one,
in London’s West End and City, he sold to an American corporation
before
moving on to team up with Crick Heitman.
Our Team
Our staff are each specialists and have considerable commercial
experience
in their own fields. Terry Dolling and Angela Boxall (AAT) assist
the partners
on audit and accounting assignments. Jan Sivelle provides company
administration and book - keeping services and deals with the
preparation of
Value Added Tax Returns. Jenny Mapes is responsible for our Payroll
service.
