Dave Swingler's Organic Gardening and Adult Education Web Site

I trained at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
I now work as an organic gardening Adult Education Tutor for the City of Birmingham Education Service, Lifelong Learning Division.

I teach city and guilds organic based gardening classes at Baverstock Adult Education Centre this course leads to a City and Guilds Qualification in amenity horticulture.

I also teach organic an based a leisure gardening course at Stone Hall
Adult Education Centre. This is a friendly group of like-minded people who want to improve their gardening skills in an environmentally friendly way.
At Stone Hall Centre we have a series of historic air raid shelters that we hope to renovate and use as an educational resource.
As part of the project we hope to create a "dig for victory garden" in the ground near the shelters. We will use plants and vegetables that were around from the 1920s the 1940s. Please contact me if you have any questions about the air raid shelters and I will give you information about them.

I also teach a supported learning organic based gardening course at Trittiford Adult Education Centre on Monday afternoons.
