FENSEC LTD - ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

 

 

Fensec Ltd recognises that its operations can have an impact on the environment and is committed to minimising such environmental impacts by a planned and carefully co-ordinated Management System to meet the requirements of International Standard ISO 14001.

Fensec Ltd is committed to:

Minimising waste by the efficient use of energy and water and by the use of recyclable materials.

Maintaining registration as a waste carrier and only use reputable registered waste carriers for the haulage of waste products.

Preventing pollution where possible and the reduction of polluting releases to the environment.

Complying with environmental legislation, codes of practice and guidance notes.

Continually improving the company’s environmental performance.

Equally ranking concern for the environment with other management responsibilities and business objectives, and is seen to be an indication of effective working.

These commitments will be achieved by:

The Directors having overall responsibility for formulation of the Safety, Health and Environmental Management System and its implementation and development.

Appointing competent Safety, Health and Environment Advisers to assist management in discharging their environmental responsibilities.

Setting and reviewing environmental objectives & targets including the systematic identification of environmental aspects maintained in a register.

Adequately assessing and controlling the risks that may impact on the environment based on the Environmental Aspects Register, and the production of Environmental Impact Assessments.

Ensuring that key personnel receive adequate and appropriate training.

Developing effective means for responding to incidents or emergencies thereby avoiding or minimising environmental damage and prevent recurrence.

Bringing the Policy to the attention of all employees who will be expected to cooperate with the implementation of the Policy. The policy will be available to the general public via the internet.

Conducting an annual review of environmental performance. The Environmental Policy will be updated as often as is necessary to meet new legislation or business developments.
