FENSEC LTD - HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

 

It is the policy of Fensec Ltd that its operations are executed at all times in such a way as to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all its employees and all persons likely to be affected by its operations. Concern for health and safety ranks equally with other management responsibilities and business objectives, and is seen to be an indication of effective working which can contribute to successful business performance.

Legal responsibility for the health and safety of employees and others who may be affected by our activities lies with Fensec Ltd and its employees. Senior Management have ultimate responsibility for compliance and operational responsibility for safety.

The Director has overall responsibility for formulation of the Safety, Health and Environmental Management System, and will appoint competent Safety Advisors to assist and train management and their nominees to discharge their responsibilities.

Health and Safety performance will be continuously monitored and the policy updated and revised annually to improve performance and meet new legislation and business developments.

The Policy is brought to the attention of employees who are required to co-operate with its implementation.

Health and Safety Policy
General Objectives

The prevention of injury and ill health to all persons affected by Fensec Ltd’s operations and the development of a positive health and safety culture.

Compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all relevant statutory provisions. Standards achieved by compliance with legal requirements for health, safety and welfare are regarded as minimum standards.

To ensure that all levels of personnel receive adequate and appropriate training, and to develop our personnel as a key resource within the organisation.

To seek a progressive improvement in health and safety management and performance, and to reduce accidents by the systematic identification of hazards and the adequate assessment and control of risk to which employees and others may be exposed.

To analyse accident causes and trends, and use the information obtained to establish measures to reduce accidents in future.

To ensure the provision and maintenance of safe access/egress, safe plant, safe working conditions and the co-ordination of all safety activities, including effective management of sub-contractors on site.
