History

The current lineup of Burnthouse was formed in June 2005.
Giles and Patrick were members of Brighton based cult band Little 10. The band split in 2002 and reformed as Elevation, an instrumental band. They gigged and recorded several demos. One of these was heard by Fraser (ex vocalist and bassist of Sussex Rock covers band Heat) who was searching the NET for a band requiring a vocalist. Fraser contacted Elevation and was so inspired that he turned up at the first practice session with 3 sets of freshly written lyrics. Fraser joined in March 2004.
Meanwhile, the direction we were taking did not suit the original bassist. He left and for a while Fraser also played bass so we could continue writing. We began advertising for a new bassist and Chris (ex. Ripchord) joined in June 2005. Since then we have been playing gigs in and around the Brighton area.
The current lineup now feels complete. we all work well together and more importantly have become great friends. When it works, it works!

Material

Since discovering that somehow we all just seem to click, we have been furiously writing and have about 20 tracks. The music and lyrics are all our own work and we are very proud of the results. So far we have only recorded 9 of these but we are focussed on creating an album in the near future. It is likely that our strongest recorded tracks so far will be remixed and amalgamated with our freshest work!

Influences
