As a result of the success of that title - commissions appeared to write numerous articles for the national and international historical aviation press.
It was not just 'things DH' that appeared in print - one major piece on investigating the myths surround the USAAF B-17 Flying Fortress 'The Memphis Belle' appeared across two editions of Wingspan.
This was soon followed by a two-part article called 'Top Gun' which was an investigation into the MkXVIII Mosquito carrying the 57mm 'Molins Gun', intended to be used as an anti-submarine aircraft. Interestingly, there was no evidence that this Mosquito variant ever sunk a vessel - however, the records show that one Mossie brought down a Junkers Ju.88 with a single shot!
As a result of this piece, Graham was approached with a commission from the Cassell imprint 'Arms and Armour Press' to write the hardback book Mosquito - The Original Multi-role Combat Aircraft.
