Mosquito - The Original Multi-role Combat Aircraft was Graham's first book written using a computer.
Desktop Computers and 'desktop publishing' was then very much in its infancy, but without doubt this was the technology to use - and the direction in which to move! His first computer was (of course!) an Apple - a 512K machine that was later fitted with an external 10Mb 'Ice' hardrive! At that time, this was very large and cutting-edge technology!
It was becoming clear that even in the early-1980s there was of a growing need for a specialist publisher in the United Kingdom who was prepared to risk producing titles of the more unusual nature. There were many requests from the book-buying public to produce works on other aircraft types.
Thus GMS Enterprises came into being!
Pictures were discovered all over the place - and good use was made of the newly-emerging techniques of computer imaging.
Costs were still very high, but it did show a glimmer of light as to which directions were possible!
