Early titles appearing under the GMS banner were a number of monographs relating to a series of De Havilland machines: the DH84 Dragon, the DH86 Express and the DH90 Dragonfly.
Then came the first title to be produced that bore another author's name - a technical general aviation manual for Monique Agazarian - Monique was a former 'ATA-girl' and postwar owner of Island Air Services, who once held the pleasure flying concession at London's Heathrow Airport. After a spell working in the Middle East, Moniuque came back the England and operated a flight simulator training centre. She also wrote Instrument Flying and Background to the Instrument and IMC Ratings - a title that is still available to this day in a modified form!
It was not long before other aviation authors who had been making attempts in various form to produce their own material started to gravitate towards the embryonic GMS Enterprises for, apart from publishing, by now a strong sales and distribution network had also been built up - an absolutely vital aspect needed to get the books into the public eye.
