Walking… This is a beautiful area known for its milder climate and the quieter valleys of Ennerdale, Wasdale and Eskdale. The Pottery lies at the entrance to Wasdale, about three miles from Wastwater. There are walks to suit all feet and inclinations and many have the most marvellous views. Dick is delighted to walk with those interested in this pastime and he has a Mountain Leadership Certificate. |

Have an afternoon out.... from Gosforth the whole of West Cumbria is easily accessible. Go down to the estuary at Ravenglass or visit Muncaster Castle with its renowned gardens. Towns such as Keswick and Windermere are within easy reach as are many other outstanding houses and gardens. Of course, the western lakes and hills are on our doorstep. We have information about all of these and other local attractions such as a trip on t'Laal Ratty! Relax.... do nothing..... sit in the sun in a deck chair |
