Our pottery courses are:
A time to work at your own level and speed You have six complete working days for hand building, press moulding, throwing, turning, pulling handles, decorating and glazing, kiln firing…. |
Our courses are based on your needs. We take up to six people but work in small groups of no more than three people, so that we can give help where you need it. We have twenty years of pottery experience behind us and we work in both stoneware and earthenware, so if you’ve never made a pot before, or if you are experienced but want to enjoy a week with like-minded people you are equally welcome. |
We run a small working family pottery, so you can usually see our work in progress and there will be plenty of opportunity to discuss and see pots made. Especially during the Raku firing which we have on each week’s course, when we experiment with Raku glazes and watch the pots firing in the kiln, anticipating some original results! |
So what will you gain from this course?
Firstly, pots – some incomplete at the end of the course will be glazed and posted on to you for a small charge. Secondly, help or experience where you need it. Thirdly, new friends!
