Glyn Y Mul Farm
The ‘Lone Wolf’ Campsite
We are very sorry to say that we are no longer trading as a camp site. If you have found your way to this web site following a long search for a camp site that was ‘different’ from the rest then we can only apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment.
We are slowly visiting all of the portal sites that contain details of the farm and trying to delete them to avoid wasted time for people searching for the kind of camping experience we provided here.
People who came here wrote many positive reviews and the site even featured in several national newspapers and a number of books. It helped us financially to manage the 20 acres of beautiful woodland here and it provided a completely alternative camping experience. Unfortunately, being ‘different’ can sometimes cause problems. Running the site as we did caused us to cross into many overlapping areas of legislation controlled by many different agencies and although their intentions are no doubt honourable, their levels of expectation, red-tape and bureaucracy have made it completely unviable for us to continue.
It’s worth book-marking this page, just in case anything changes, but as things stand we are calling it a day.
Anyone wanting to keep in touch can feel free to do so. We are very grateful for all the support we had particularly from our regular customers.
If you are looking for a local campsite then there are two options.
Tir Abbey Farm at Alltwen
01792 864452 or 07814 318407
Tents and small camper vans only.
Ty-canol Farm at Neath Abbey
If you particularly want a woodland site very similar to the type of thing we previously offered here then if you are wiling to head to Devon you can try ‘Hole Station’ woodland campsite. They are however strictly adults only and they do not accept dogs.
We wish you the very best of luck
