The Banner Group
We have worked on our last two banners, which appeared at Easter 2003.
From Pentecost to Advent these banners are in the Church. At Christmas we have two banners of the Nativity and the Three Kings. They have been fun to do, and done with the children in mind.
Much
of the rest of 2003 was taken up making new decorations for the Church Christmas
Tree, which turned out to be one of the most intricate, yet enjoyable tasks
we have undertaken. Needlewise, it is fair to say that blood was spilt.
To make this particular Christmas deadline we had to work steadily both as a
Group and at home but, for all of us, the pleasure of dressing the tree and
adding the new lights was sufficient reward for the many extra hours required.
The Group raised £1400 for Scottish Love in Action through the sale of Christmas cards in 2004 based on the three images on the left of this page.
The Group, as yet, have no firm plans for the future.
