- The church finances are healthy and a high level
of commitment is shown by members of the congregation.
- Income for 2005 was £246,991 and expenditure
was £211,348, giving a surplus of £35,643.
- Income for 2005 was more than 26% higher than that
for 2004, largely due to a successful stewardship campaign. This follows
2 years of shortfalls of income against expenditure.
- The congregation has also funded a major buildings
extension programme, our Centenary Project, committing and raising in
excess of £1.2m since 2000.
- As a condition of supporting the Centenary Appeal
the congregation stipulated that £50,000 of the money raised was
to be donated to charitable causes. This commitment was fulfilled during
2002 with 8 charities both at home and abroad benefiting.
- There is also generous giving in support of charity
and special appeals. This amounted to £37,500 in 2005, including
£19,000 for our Advent appeal for Christian Aid and £14,000
for the Tsunami disaster.
- Having borrowed funds to finance our Centenary Project
we are still operating with a Bank overdraft. We are budgeting for a
surplus of around £26,000 in 2006 and expect to be able to pay
off the overdraft within the next 2 years.
- Our Ministries and Mission allocation for 2006 is
£112,318, amounting to half our budgeted ordinary expenditure.
