Greenbank Parish Church Edinburgh |
Originally a United Presbyterian Church, Greenbank has a Kirk Session and Congregational Board. The Kirk Session consists of over 90 elders and meets for ordinary business six times per year with the main work of the Session being carried out in a number of committees. The congregation is divided into traditional districts to each of which is allocated an elder. The Board is chaired by an elected Preses and follows the Model constitution with approximately equal numbers of elders and non elders. The main work of the Board is carried out by the Property and Finance committees. A Pastoral Assistant is employed for the equivalent of one day per week funded by the congregation. Greenbank also employs a Secretary (part time), Church Officer (full time), Organist and Cleaner (part time)
