Hydroplan is a leading renewable energy consultancy based in the South of England and the Highlands of Scotland. We specialise in small to medium hydropower schemes, as well as other water related projects.

Our staff are experts, enthusiastic, committed and full of energy. Without this valuable resource we would not be able to deliver the great service that our clients have come to expect. We are a small company with big, but sustainable, ambitions and now need to recruit the following people:-

Project/Contract Engineer (based in Fort William, Scotland)
  • Experienced Civil Engineer
  • Construction Method Assessment
  • Ability to liaise/work on multiple projects
  • Monitoring H&S and Environmental Protection Measures
  • Project Cost Control and Progress Chasing
  • Involved in Pre-contract negotiations

Hydro Designer (based in Wimborne, Dorset)
  • 2D/3D Detailed mechanical and civil CAD designer
  • Some hydro design experience/knowledge
  • Ability to identify and incorporate proprietary items within the design
  • Supplier design liaison
  • Some on-site checking surveying

Procurement Co-ordinator (based in Wimborne, Dorset)
  • Placing orders and progress chasing
  • Assist Project Engineers with Project Cost Control
  • Prepare reports for internal and client monthly reviews
  • Engage with suppliers through good communication to ensure good quality, fair prices and prompt delivery.

In addition to the above specialist skills, all candidates will need to have the following:

  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Good computer skills - MS Office
  • Flexible and practical approach - we need "hands on people"
  • Self-motivation and a team player - your colleagues will be relying on you.
