Pre arrival information

Exchange Guests who wish to allow a third party to use their exchange week MUST obtain a Guest Certificate from the relevant exchange company.  This must be presented to Reception upon arrival. Hever Hotel Owners allowing occupancy of their ownership to a third party MUST supply a signed letter of authorisation to the resort confirming the use of the unit/week and the name of the third party.

Due to fire regulations, we cannot accept more than three people in a studio or five in a suite. In both cases, this is one person more than the number of beds and therefore a z-bed must be hired in advance.

 Car Hire

The Hotel is situated in the heart of the countryside and is quite remote if you do not have a car. Overseas guests should therefore consider renting a car for their stay. This can be pre-booked with any of the major firms such as Hertz or Avis, all of whom have depots at the airports. Alternatively, our local firm can deliver a car direct to the Hotel for you. Check In

Check in is from 4:00 pm.  Reception is open 24 hours but should you plan to arrive late in the evening, please confirm this in advance, in order that we may make the necessary arrangements. If you are arriving by air, the Hotel offers an airport pickup/drop-off service as outlined here.

Check Out

Please ensure that you return your key at this time; a £30.00 charge is levied for missing keys. 

Check-out time is 10am. Late check-out can be arranged, subject to room availability, at a fee of £20.00 until 3pm and £50 thereafter. 

Unacceptable extra cleaning of your apartment will incur a £30.00 charge. Please ensure in particular, that any kitchen facilities are left clean.

Meals

Open every day, Stables restaurant & bar offers breakfast, light meals and dinner. The lounge area upstairs provides the perfect setting to relax over a good book whilst the heated outside areas are wonderful for watching the world go by. Click here for sample menus.

Near By Sport Facilities

The Leisure Centre in Edenbridge Town offers swimming, saunas and various ball courts. For those wanting to play golf, there are a number of clubs nearby. Hever Castle Golf Club is situated next door to the Hotel. A discount is available for guests if booked through Reception. Please note that the club has a strict dress code. On the course, golf attire must be worn (no jeans or t-shirts, and golf shoes only). In the Golf Clubhouse, guests must wear smart-casual clothing. Gentlemen must wear collared shirts, and no jeans, trainers, caps or hats are permitted at any time.

On Site Facilities

There is a gym, two tennis courts and a barbeque area in the Hotel's grounds. Before use of any sports facility we would ask that guests report to Reception in order that they may sign the compulsory forms and obtain the key codes for access. Tennis equipment and coaching is available through reception. Use of the facilities and equipment is free to all guests although we do require a deposit for rackets and tennis balls.

PETS

Domestic pets are not admitted to the Hotel, however, we can recommend local kennels should this information be required.

Public BUS SERVICES

There are two local bus services. The more regular service stops outside the Hotel three days a week. Although a very limited service, it does enable guests to travel to Edenbridge, our closest town, for provisions and onward journeys. View the current timetable here. The Hotel's stop is "Hever Road Cottages".

The second service is only available on a Sunday and runs a circular route into Kent taking in places of interest including, Squerryes Court , Quebec House, Chartwell and Hever Castle . For keen ramblers there are plenty of places to walk including Staffhurst Wood which also contains a nature reserve. The route also takes in many of the towns in the local area and numerous public houses to stop for a bite to eat and a drink. Fares start at 50p and all day unlimited travel is £4.50. The bus may stop anywhere on route provided it is safe to do so. View the current timetable here.

Public Train SERVICES

There are a number of train stations within 15 minutes drive from the Hotel. For guests with a car we recommend Hildenborough station. From here, London is a forty minute direct service. There is ample parking which, at the time of going to press, cost £3.50 a day.

Guests without a car may prefer to use train services from either of the two Edenbridge stations. Although the journey takes longer than from Hildenborough and also involves changing trains, the return taxi fare is significantly cheaper.

Room facilities will vary depending upon which size room you have booked and which company you have booked through. Taxi’s

Due to our location, taxi’s can be notoriously difficult to book in the evenings; if you are intending to use a taxi, we very strongly recommend that you pre-book it before you leave the Hotel. The Hotel operates its own taxi service from reception on a pre-booked basis, subject to availability. We do not however, have the facility to collect stranded guests that have not pre-booked their journey.
