Already heralded as a modern day icon, London's newest skyscraper at 30 St Mary Axe in the heart of the City is the new London home of Swiss Re, one of the world's leading reinsurers.

Swiss Re have over 30 meeting rooms, a boardroom and a lecture theatre, central video conference systems, distributed TV and company-wide IPTV. They also have a comprehensive video conference and control monitoring system, which allows one technician to monitor the systems throughout the building and manage most user difficulties without leaving their desk.

Additionally, at the top of the building, there are a number of private dining rooms, a restaurant and a 40th floor lounge, with stunning 360° views of London.

Hewshott designed the full AV and VC facilities throughout the building, including the top of the building, and assisted Swiss Re with AV project management during the implementation phase. The uncluttered nature of the meeting rooms and simplicity of the design conceals the most modern and flexible of corporate conference systems, and fits with Swiss Re's culture precisely.
