JDA have been promoting sustainable, environmentally aware design and construction for many years. It does this by trying to encourage all of its clients to consider the environmental impact of their buildings and to minimise them wherever possible. JDA approach sustainable design in a pragmatic, cost effective manner, understanding that buildings need to be delivered to affordable budgets.

JDA showed its own commitment by moving the practice to its own purpose built offices on the award winning Sherwood Energy Village. Voted the 'Most Enterprising Community in Britain' in 1994, the location has been a perfect home for the practice. Tony Jackson has spoken at several conferences on delivering sustainable construction on mainstream projects.

"It has been remarkable how quickly and comprehensively JDA gained an understanding of the overall vision and have grasped the concept of sustainable design and construction."
