Janith Homes Ltd. also operates four smaller residential care homes all within easy reach of our main day service facility at Barrington Farm. The smaller care homes are St. Brannocks at Mundesley, Hall Farm Cottage at Bacton, Strawberry Field at Walcott and Cypress Lodge at Potter Heigham. Some of the current residents have moved from The Rookery to the smaller homes where they are able to enjoy greater community involvement and experience different life chances.

 

Strawberry field.

Sited very close to the Rookery, Strawberry field is registered for three adults with learning difficulties. This is a smaller type unit offering opportunity for greater independence embracing day service provision and learning programs in the wider community. All accommodation in this unit is ground floor level it has large private gardens and a greenhouse. Staff support residents with daily living skills, all residents have a named key worker who monitors care plans and needs.

Hall Farm Cottage.

Hall Farm Cottage and gardens

Situated in the coastal village of Bacton the flint cottage offers single room accommodation for three adults with learning difficulties. The cottage complies with current regulations. It is set in large private gardens close to the village, which has shops, café and two pubs offering restaurant facilities. The care package includes day service provision from Barrington Farm, which is affiliated to Janith Homes Ltd creating a seamless service provision. Care planning as with all our residential homes is person centred and reviewed with service users and providers at regular intervals. Hall Farm Cottage also benefits from Sheba the resident's pet cat.

St. Brannocks.

Awaiting New Photograph

The Edwardian house in the coastal town of Mundesley is registered for seven adult residents with learning difficulties. The house retains many of its original features though tasteful updating offers comfortable spacious accommodation. The home benefits from private gardens, patio area, vegetable plot and fishpond. Residents take an active part in the running of this house and its gardens. There is also the added responsibility of the pet dog! Mundesley is a popular holiday town offering a variety of shops, pubs, café, hotels, post office, library, medical centre, pharmacist and blue flag award beaches. St. Brannocks also benefits from a care package including day service provision from Barrington Farm as well as opportunities in local colleges and adult education services.

Cypress Lodge.

The Georgian house in the Village of Potter Heigham on the Norfolk Broads is registered for four adult residents with learning difficulties. The house retains many of its original features though tasteful updating offers comfortable spacious accommodation, which complies with the Care Standards Act 2000. The home benefits from private gardens, patio area, summer house, aviary and fishpond. Residents take an active part in the running of this house and its gardens and looking after the fish and birds. Potter Heigham is a popular village on the picturesque river Thurne offering a variety of shops, pubs and cafés. Cypress Lodge also benefits from a care package including day service provision from Barrington Farm as well as opportunities in local colleges and adult education services. The registered manager is Jane Pearse who holds NVQ level 3 in Promoting Independence and is working towards NVQ level 4 RMA. The staff team are all currently working towards different levels of NVQ awards.
