Giant
Turtles Flying
paving stones faces
of gurus and Chinese eyes old
men's necks, snakes' skin feet embryo
fleshed in formaldehyde How
old are you? The
largest comes to the bubble fluke again,
again, rubbing
his back flippers a
sort of ecstasy Puts
in his head, the
eyes close he
drinks gulps; water
massages him so
tender. Carapace precious,
polished, viewed
in every dimension. His
plastron on display cream obscene vulnerable. Of what would you be capable?
