Crop-Picker on the PC has an easy to use, intuitive interface. All the windows have a similar appearance. Below you will see the Payroll and Deductions tab on the Workers Detail screen. You can see workers details easily by choosing the worker from the list on the left. New workers are added easily by clicking on the New button. Payrates are set in Options and you can use those rates
or enter rates for individual workers. These rates are used for any hourly work
that the workers do and used to calculate that workers have reached the minimum
wage.
Locations for work are set up in a similar way as are
the Tasks the workers will be doing. On the Tasks setup you can assign a weight
to a task and then any harvesting tasks will record weights for you. Each of these also has a Production Tab that shows
information on what work has been done on that Location, by that worker or for
that task that gives you a very quick way of seeing an overview of Production
and Earnings. Your Workers, Tasks and Locations are sent to the
handset when you synchronise and you are then ready to record work on the
handset. Any work that is not entered on the handset can be
entered on the PC using either the Worksheet or the Timesheet. The Worksheet is
very easy to complete and it remembers the row above as you enter so if you have
several workers doing the same task it is extremely quick to enter as you only
need to change the minimum of entries. The Timesheet emulates the handset, you create a job
and then enter the work. Some users may prefer to do it this way and it does
allow you to have two tasks within a job, which can be useful if you do not have
enough handsets in the peak of the season and are picking class 1 and class 2
simultaneously and recording work on paper. Once data has been entered it is then posted, at this
stage you can see how much each worker has earned. You can sort the £/hr column
and see your highest and lowest earners easily. You can at this stage adjust the
times worked by any of the workers if you need to.
Once data is on the PC either by downloading the
handsets or entering data via the PC you can use the Minimum wage and Holiday
Pay feature to calculate any Holiday Pay due and whether the worker has met the
Minimum wage for the hours they have worked.
Only the workers that have not reached the required
earnings are shown in the list and you can hover over the amounts to see how
they are made up. It will account for any overtime they should have earned
according to the options you have chosen. Holiday pay that your Daily Casual workers
are
entitled to is calculated. You are able to see how the money is made up by
clicking on the Adjust button and you can change the hours worked or add breaks
if the handset user has forgotten to do so. To make up their money to the
required amount you simply click on the Makeup button. Deductions can be added on the PC (they can also be
added on the Handset), they can be applied automatically, for example for Rent
on a daily or weekly basis, or can be applied manually for one-off deductions.
A data wizard is available for changing information
after it has been recorded. You can change the date, location, task or payrate
easily. You can also move work to another worker or delete work recorded to a
worker. Many reports are available,
giving you instant information on your yields from fields or yields of a
particular variety. And there are reports showing workers earnings, payslips
etc. You
can easily choose to restrict any of the reports to show just the information
you need. |
