Crop-Picker's first year of use has gone well, and we have reassessed requirements and are implementing improvements after discussions with our current users.

It has the features you need:

Accurate time recording even if working on two tasks concurrently, for example picking Class 1 and Class 2 fruit.
If Barcode scanning is used it will check to make sure you do not scan the same container twice.
It calculates the workers earnings. End of day routines are very quick.
Its works well on a standard IPAQ or equivalent with or without a barcode scanner, and on a Symbol ruggedised Pocket PC - it will also work on other handheld devices.

We will be adding the facility to record across two or more handsets, and synchronise the two together at any point in the day - useful if you work with more than one handset on a large field. We are also adding to ability to deduct NI contributions for your daily casual workers.
