Framing Anything

So what can be framed? Almost anything!

Most items like paintings, prints, certificates and photographs are 2 dimensional and are very easy to frame well. Also surprisingly popular are needlepoint work such as tapestries and cross-stitch, but these require stretching to ensure the canvas is taught and square.

The only limit we have is your imagination, our machinery and materials - generally we have a limit of glass size of 60" x 40" (1524 x 1016 mm). At the beginning of 2004 we framed a 6 x 4 feet mirror in 6mm safety glass. This was very large and heavy (about 95 lbs) and required collection in a big van.

3 dimensional objects can also be framed. We have framed sugar craft flower decorations from wedding cakes, football shirts, collages of objects, antique Muslim wedding shawls, collections of medals, etc.

An unusual and technically challenging job was a jacket worn on the Stock Exchange floor by a City trader. First his traders photo ID and then buy and sell cards were fixed under the company name. Then it was framed with glass and frames to both the front and back - so it could be used as a room divider. The jacket appeared to be suspended within the frame so you could see around it.
