To the left is a collage of wheat straw applied to a black silk pongee and creating a stunning image 750x450mm. The sheen of the straw catches the light to add movement to the subject. The straw can also be dyed in vibrant or subtle colours and some are available on white backgrounds.
To the right is a modern boneless painting on white (or black) taffeta 23”x11” signed by Tang. These are loose and free flowing and add a splash of colour. The normal subjects are flowers and birds and when framed look very modern.
To the left is a painting on cork paper. These are unusual as they have a blue green metallic sheen under the thin veneer of real cork. The colourings in this example are typical of most of the current stock.
To the right is an embroidered bamboo scroll. These are hand produced on thinly split bamboo woven to create a traditional surface and completed using vibrant coloured threads.
