Dare - Par 5

South Course Hole 1
Founders Course Hole 1
Championship Course Hole 12

Description

Dare, as it's name suggests can be played in two ways. Your tee shot should take you along side the bunkers, half way up the fairway. Your second shot, depending on how daring you are can be played over the trees with a strong five wood, or along the fairway with a third chip onto the green.

The green is long and undulating and when the hole is placed at the back of the green, makes for a difficult hole to play either around or over the trees.

Andrew McKenzie's tips

1st shot Off the tee take a driver down the right hand side of the fairway which will take you along side the bunkers.
2nd shot A five wood will take you to the elbow of the dog leg in the centre of the fairway.
3rd shot Chip onto the green with a pitching wedge
4th shot A well weighted put should sink your ball for a well deserved birdie.
5th shot Missed your put? Pressure is on for Par.

Dare A challenging Par 5 with a dog leg just before the green.
