After an evening in the Star Bar you soon realize that the Lanes Hotel is one of the nicest places to stay in Brighton. On a nice day guests can take tea or enjoy drinks on our pleaseant licensed sun terrace at the front of the hotel. Cheers!
Our impressive breakfast room allows guests to overlook the sea as they enjoy the most important meal of the day. The Ivor Novello Breakfast Room features antique walnut panelling, stained glass windows and the splendid example of an ornately carved Victorian walnut fireplace with its original tiles. Of course, should you like to indulge and have your breakfast in your bedroom this can be arranged at reception for a small surcharge.
The Noel Coward Lounge is named after one of the former residents of 70 Marine Parade - the famous English actor, playwright and composer Sir Noel Peirce Coward (1899-1973). A colourful character, Noel Coward was considered a close friend of Winston Churchill, Princess Margaret, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, Judy Garland, Vivien Leigh, Marlene Dietrich and Ivor Novello. |
