Local charity raises £500 for RSPCA
The local branch of The Royal Society of St. George (Chairman, Cllr. Stuart Millson) devoted its St. George's Day fundraising endeavour this year to a very worthy cause: the RSPCA Rescue Centre at Leybourne. Collecting in West Malling High Street on the 23rd April, the Branch succeeded in raising over £500 for Christine Dooley and her team of animal rescuers! Branch President, Group Captain Patrick Tootal OBE, DL, presented the cheque at the RSPCA's AGM on the 1st June.
All in all, a very successful project, and a first-rate contribution to a very important and well-loved institution in our local community
